Mobility Aids available for wheelchair
users
Passengers can take electric wheelchairs/scooters (with a maximum
width of 23 inches) However they do not offer wheelchair or Scooter
Hire. Segways and other similar vehicles are not permitted on
board.
Cabins
Stateroom door width: 32 inches - There is no doorsill to get into
stateroom, Lowered closet rod, Refrigerator in stateroom (upon
request)
Bathroom door width: 32 inches - With Ramped bathroom thresholds,
Bathroom grab bars, Lowered sink and stateroom vanity, Roll-in
showers*, Fold-down shower bench, Hand-held showerheads, Adjustable
height commode chairs (upon request), Adjustable height commode
chairs (upon request)
* Exception on Azamara Quest, inside staterooms feature bathtub
rather than roll-in shower.
Hoists
There are no hoists available on board, however we can arrange for
this to be hired for our guests.
Facilities For Deaf/Hard of Hearing
A portable room kit is available upon request.
The kit includes:
• alerts for door knocking
• telephone ringing
• smoke detector
• alarm clock
• under-pillow or under-mattress vibrator
There is also an optional stateroom TTY (Text Telephone) which is
available upon request. The TTY in your stateroom interfaces with
the TTY at the Guest Relations Desk to meet all of your
in-stateroom needs. Sign language interpreting services are
provided upon request for deaf guests who use American Sign
Language (ASL) as their primary means of communication. Sign
language interpreting services are provided for the main production
shows, port & shopping presentations and other major activities
on a shared basis for all deaf guests onboard. We can request for
the sign language interpreting services however we need to be told
if this is wanted at time of booking and no later than 60 days
prior to sailing. Requests are subject to availability of
interpreters. Sign language interpreting services are provided on
cruises that depart from and/or return to the U.S. and Canada.
Closed-captioned televisions are available in all staterooms across
the fleet. Please note only select programs are captioned. All
safety videos are captioned.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted to accompany the person with a
disability in all public areas, including dining venues, unless its
presence of behaviour creates a fundamental alteration or a direct
threat to safety. Due to health regulations, service animals are
not permitted in pools, whirlpools or spas. If the guest chooses to
disembark the ship at a port at which the service animal must
remain onboard, the guest must make arrangements to ensure that the
animal is cared for. A 4 feet x 4 feet relief area with cypress
mulch is provided.
